Youth & Adult Learning Programs Senior Coordinator
Elyse grew up in Enosburg Falls, in northern Vermont. She earned music education bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Ithaca College, learned to lead adventure and ropes courses at Cayuga Nature Center, and is working on a Master’s in Experiential Education and Development at Plymouth State University. Prior to joining Project Adventure, Elyse worked for 10 years as a middle and high school choir and music teacher for public schools in southern Vermont. Combining adventure education and music education has shaped how she sees education, with a mindset of nurturing the whole student and curiosity to be a life long learner. Elyse lives in southern Vermont with her husband, dog Scout, and two cats. She performs in local choirs, local opera company, loves contra dancing, and is learning to play the Celtic harp. She loves that adventure means learning new things…there’s always more to explore!
